Boating for the Cure Tops $70,000!
Boating for the Cure is a daylong boating event with all proceeds going to prostate and breast cancers.
After allowing one week for checks and donations to roll in and for participants to collect and total all personal donations, organizers are excited to announce that 2010’s Boating for the Cure event raised over $70,000.
Leading the charge were Dan McKenzie with his www.allofus.ca effort to navigate around North America, which raised over $20,000, and Bill Evanov and the Evanov Radio Group, which consists of the Jewel FM channels and Hot 103.5FM. Through on-air advertisements and PSAs, the Evanov Radio Group raised almost $25,000.
Boater News.ca would like to extend our congratulations to all those who participated and we are looking forward to 2011. More information for Boating for the Cure can be found at www.boatingforthecure.com
